Frances will join the 200-woman chorus group "Voices From the Heart", from the United States at their
last concert in Ireland. This concert takes places on July 7 in Limerick
at the University Concert Hall. The proceeds from all of our concerts
in Ireland will go to battered women's shelters and international youth
organizations that promote peace. The concert at which Frances will be
appearing will benefit Adapt House.

On the 12th of August, Frances performed at "hungerstrile rtally ihn memory of 1981" with Christy Moore in Casement Park in Belfast - she sang with Declan Sinnott and played "The bold fenian men" and "Something inside so strong". Also her son, Eoghan Scott played double bass as part of her back up band (Thanks to Mairia Cahill for this information).

According to the
Clannad News page, an important upcoming concert has just been announced.
Amnesty International and Le Chéile, Artists in Ireland Against Racism,
have announced a major anti-racism concert to be performed at The
Point Depot on Friday, December 7 starting at 8:00 PM. The line-up
for the Artists
Against Racism concert includes Christy Moore, Afro-Celt Sound System,
Frances Black, Luka Bloom, Máire Brennan, Kíla and Métisse. More information
on the concert is available at the MCD
web site (the promoters of the concert in Ireland), and tickets for
the event are available through outlets such as Ticketmaster
Ireland.

Frances is planning to go into the studio in March 2002
to record a new album. More details about this new album are currently
not know. During some of her latest Irish concerts, she did however sing
a new song, which might be recorded for the new album. This song is called
Emily and written by Beth Nielsen Chapman. To learn more about

Frances is currently trying to setup a tour for the USA for next year. There are also plans for a concert tour in the Netherlands in 2003.
